Kailee and Jason are a young military couple with a whirlwind engagement. They’re planning their wedding in just three months—such a quick turnaround! With the clock ticking, they wanted to make sure all their family could be there before they move. Kailee reached out just in time. They decided on a country theme for their engagement session. It was the perfect fit for me! We chose Tanwax Country Chapel because of the tall grass and stunning views of Mount Rainier. It was the ideal location for their engagement session at Tanwax Country Chapel.

Engagement Session Classics

We started with simple, classic poses. I always get that “Grandma pose”—you know, the one with a big smile that ends up on the fridge. Then we switched it up with some editorial-style shots. Kailee and Jason were so open to it, which made it even more fun.

The Details

Of course, I made sure to capture the little details, like the ring. Then, we dove into the country theme with playful “kiss and dip” shots. These were perfect! They showed off Kailee’s boots and the mountain in the background. I also asked Jason to “attack her with kisses.” That always brings out the sweetest smiles. I couldn’t resist getting a cute walking shot, too. The guys usually like this one because it gives them a moment to relax.

As we wrapped up, we got some intimate shots of Kailee and Jason sitting in the field. These added variety to their gallery—sweet, tender, and just a little spicy. We finished right before the rain started. Perfect timing!
