  My couples sessions are relaxed, fun, and focused on capturing the real connection between you—not just how you look together, but how you feel together. We skip stiff poses and create space for laughter, cuddles, running, dancing—whatever feels most like you. I offer gentle guidance when needed, but mostly I’m there to document your love story as it naturally unfolds.

Having photographed countless couples in Seattle, I’m experienced with the city’s changing light and weather, from soft overcast skies to shifting sunlight. I embrace these conditions as part of the atmosphere of your session while remaining flexible if adjustments are needed.

Once we’ve settled on a date, I’ll provide a contract and invoice via email. When the signed contract and $200 retainer are returned, your engagement session is officially booked.

Prior to your session, we’ll discuss the best locations and outfits to suit your style. My focus is on creating a relaxed, stress-free experience so you can enjoy every moment together.

Today is the day of your engagement session! I’m honored to capture your love authentically, preserving the little moments that make your story one of a kind.

Each image is meticulously edited to preserve the emotion, connection, and atmosphere of your session, creating a gallery that reflects your story beautifully.

I know you’ll be eager to see your engagement photos, so I’ll send sneak peek previews within 48 hours. Get ready to relive the joy and connection of your session almost immediately.

The Process

Genna is a long time friend of mine and used me as a subject for boudoir shoot and both me and my husband for a couples session. I absolutely love her dreamy and emotional quality. For the couple shoot, she did a wonderful job of posing us. I model part time but my husband doesn't spend a lot of time behind a camera, so her skills in using prompts to create a very organic and natural feeling image was very helpful. Nothing is more frustrating than walking away from a photography session with a gallery of awkward pictures, and I promise Genna will have you feeling comfortable and enjoying the process thoroughly, regardless of your experience with being a subject.

I focus on capturing real connection and authentic emotion. While I offer gentle guidance to help you feel comfortable or adjust for light, most of the session flows naturally, allowing your love story to unfold in a way that feels true to you.

2. How do you help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera?
I understand that many couples feel nervous about being photographed. My approach is relaxed and intuitive—I guide when needed, create space for natural interaction, and let your personalities shine so the camera becomes invisible and authentic moments emerge.

3. How long does an engagement session typically last?
Most sessions last 30 minutes - 1 hour, depending on your locations and desired coverage. This allows time for movement, outfit changes, and multiple settings while keeping the experience fun and unhurried.

4. What happens if it rains or the weather is overcast?
Seattle weather can be unpredictable, but overcast skies often create soft, flattering light for photos. I embrace the city’s natural conditions and remain flexible—sometimes a little rain even adds character and intimacy to your session.

5. How do we choose the best locations in Seattle?
I help guide couples to locations that fit your personalities, aesthetic, and session goals. I let couples choose from my location guide or select a personally significant spot.  

6. How many images will we receive, and what is your editing style?
You’ll receive a carefully curated gallery of fully edited images, typically ranging from 30–100 images, depending on how long the session was. My editing style is natural and timeless, enhancing colors and light with a subtle warmth to preserve the feeling and emotion of the day.

7. How far in advance should we book our session?
I recommend booking at least 2 months in advance to secure your preferred dates and locations. Seattle’s most popular spots and seasonal light fill up quickly, so early planning ensures a stress-free experience.

8. How do we book, and what is required to secure our date?
Once you’re ready, I’ll send a contract and invoice. Your session is officially reserved when the signed contract and nonrefundable $100 deposit are returned. From there, I guide you through planning your session for a seamless experience.
