My approach to wedding photography is intentionally calm and unhurried, creating space for you to be fully present on a day that moves quickly. I work in a documentary style, focusing on real emotion, natural connection, and the moments that unfold when nothing is forced. Rather than directing or staging, I observe thoughtfully and offer gentle guidance only when it brings ease or supports the story—allowing your wedding day to be experienced, not managed.

My editing style is true to life, with natural tones enhanced by a subtle warmth to preserve the feeling of the day as it was lived. Familiarity with PNW light and weather allows me to work confidently in a wide range of conditions, embracing soft overcast skies and shifting light as part of the atmosphere while remaining flexible when needed.

The goal is simple: an experience that feels grounded and intentional, resulting in imagery that reflects your wedding day honestly—centered on presence, emotion, and the quiet moments you’ll want to remember long after the day has passed.

Where I'm Based & Where I'm Available

Based IN Washington But Available worldwide

At the moment, I reside in Tacoma  and I absolutely love Western Washington, but I am commonly in the state of Virginia as well. So, no matter where your wedding is - either here in Washington State or abroad around the world, I am available and would love to hear from you.

FAQs I Commonly Receive as a Tacoma Wedding Photographer

1. Will you pose us, or do you capture more natural moments?
I focus on capturing weddings as they unfold, documenting real, unscripted moments. While I don’t rely on rigid posing, I do provide gentle guidance when it helps with composition, light, or comfort. The goal is to keep your Tacoma wedding authentic and full of genuine emotion.

2. How do you help couples feel relaxed in front of the camera?
It’s normal to feel nervous in front of a lens! I work quietly alongside you, letting your connection take center stage. Most couples quickly forget the camera is there, which allows your laughter, hugs, and candid interactions to shine naturally.

3. Can you handle Tacoma’s variable weather and indoor lighting?
Absolutely. As a Tacoma wedding photographer, I’m familiar with the Pacific Northwest’s ever-changing light—from bright, sunny days to overcast skies. I embrace the unique mood that Tacoma weather brings and know how to work with indoor and low-light settings to create beautiful, timeless images.

4. How much coverage do we need for our wedding?
While every wedding is unique, most couples choose 8+ hours to make sure no important moments are missed. I’ll help you map out your timeline and recommend coverage that fits your day, whether it’s intimate or full-scale.

5. What if it rains on our wedding day?
Rain is part of Tacoma life, and it doesn’t stop the magic. I plan for weather contingencies and can capture beautiful images even in light rain. If the conditions call for adjustments, I’ll guide you calmly so your day still feels effortless and joyful.

6. When will we receive our wedding photos, and how many will we get?
You’ll receive a carefully curated gallery within the timeline in your contract. Expect roughly 100 fully edited images per hour of coverage. Every image is selected to tell the story of your day—from the quiet, emotional moments to the big, celebratory ones.

7. Do you work with a second shooter?
Yes! A second photographer is an excellent addition for larger weddings or moments happening simultaneously. This ensures every angle and memory is captured, giving you a richer collection of images.

8. How do we book you, and what’s required to hold our date?
To reserve your date, we’ll finalize a signed agreement and a non-refundable retainer. Once your date is secured, I’ll guide you through every step leading up to your wedding, including engagement sessions, timelines, and planning support.

9. How far in advance should I book a Tacoma wedding photographer?
Most couples book their Tacoma wedding photographer 9–15 months in advance, especially for peak season dates between May and September. If you’re planning a wedding at a popular Tacoma venue, it’s best to inquire as early as possible to secure your date.

10. Do you help with timeline planning for Tacoma weddings?
Yes—timeline planning is a big part of the experience. As a Tacoma wedding photographer, I help create a photography timeline that allows for natural light, a relaxed pace, and enough time to capture all the important moments without feeling rushed.

11. How much does a Tacoma wedding photographer typically cost?
Wedding photography in Tacoma can vary depending on experience, coverage hours, and what’s included, but most couples can expect to invest anywhere from $3,000 to $7,000+. When choosing a Tacoma wedding photographer, it’s important to look beyond price and find someone whose style and approach truly align with your vision.

12. Can you recommend Tacoma wedding venues or vendors?
Absolutely. As a Tacoma wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredible local venues and vendors. I’m always happy to share personalized recommendations based on your style, guest count, and overall vision to help bring your wedding day together seamlessly.  Check out my blog on the top Tacoma wedding venues and top Tacoma wedding planners.
