My approach to elopement photography is calm and unhurried, giving you the space to fully experience your day as it unfolds. I work in a documentary style, focusing on authentic emotion, natural connection, and the moments that happen when nothing is forced. I don’t stage or direct—except gently when it helps you feel at ease—so your elopement can be lived, not managed.

My editing style stays true to life, with natural tones and a subtle warmth that preserve the feeling of your day. Familiarity with Pacific Northwest light and weather allows me to confidently work in any conditions, embracing soft overcast skies, shifting light, and the unique atmosphere of each location.

The goal is simple: a grounded, intentional experience that results in imagery reflecting your elopement honestly—centered on presence, emotion, and the quiet, meaningful moments you’ll treasure long after your day is over.

FAQs I Commonly Receive as A Tacoma elopement Photographer

1. What does an elopement in Tacoma include?
My Tacoma elopement sessions are fully customized to your love story. Typically, this includes coverage of your ceremony, couple portraits, and any special moments you want captured—like a first look or private celebration. I guide you through posing while keeping things natural and authentic.

2. How far in advance should we book our Tacoma elopement photographer?
Elopements tend to be more flexible, but I recommend booking at least 3–6 months in advance, especially if your date falls during peak wedding season (May–September). This ensures I can secure your date and help you plan the timing for the best light and locations.

3. Can you shoot at multiple locations in Tacoma?
Absolutely! Tacoma is full of incredible spots—from the Seymour Conservatory to the lush trails at Point Defiance Park. I can help you choose multiple locations and plan the timing so you get a variety of stunning images without feeling rushed.

4. Do you offer packages for just the ceremony, or full-day coverage?
Yes! I offer flexible packages that can be tailored to your elopement. Whether you want just an intimate ceremony captured or a full day including portraits and celebration, we can craft a plan that fits your vision and budget.

5. Are you familiar with Tacoma elopement permits?
Yes, I can guide you through the local permit process. Some parks and locations in Tacoma require a permit for photography, and I’ll make sure you know what’s needed so your day goes smoothly.

6. How do you make couples feel comfortable in front of the camera?
I take a relaxed, guiding approach—offering prompts and gentle direction while encouraging real, authentic moments. My goal is for you to feel present with each other, not posed or staged.

7. Can you accommodate elopements in Tacoma and surrounding areas?
Absolutely! I regularly photograph elopements throughout Tacoma, the Puget Sound region, and nearby areas like Olympia. If you have a dream location, I’ll help make it happen. Check out this Tipsoo Lake elopement.

8. When can we expect to receive our photos?
You’ll typically receive your full gallery within 4–6 weeks. Each image is professionally edited to capture the colors, emotion, and details of your elopement beautifully.

9. What if it rains on our Tacoma elopement day?
Rain in the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable, but it can also create some stunning, moody images! I always plan for flexibility, and we can find covered spots or reschedule to ensure your day is beautiful and stress-free.

10. How do we book our Tacoma elopement session?
Booking is simple! Reach out through my contact form, and we’ll chat about your vision, location, and timeline. A signed contract and retainer secure your date, and then the planning begins.
